Who’s Best Eligible for a Talcum Lawsuit?
There are two groups:
Those who used talcum powder in the genital area daily over several years and then were diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Those who had regular inhalation of talcum products over several years, leading to the diagnosis of mesothelioma cancers.
Timing is important! Many states impose a two to a three-year statute of limitations after your cancer diagnosis.
How Does Talcum Powder Relate to Cancer?
Some talc products contain asbestos. Asbestos is known to cause cancers.
Ovarian Cancers: There are two different theories on the relationship between talcum powder and ovarian cancer.
The first theory is that talcum powder contains asbestos particles, which have been known to be cancer causing agent.
The second theory is that regular use of talcum powder in the genital area allows for small particles to travel into the ovaries causing chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation can lead to cancer.
Mesothelioma Cancers: Regular inhalation of talc products has been known to lead to cancers that attack the lungs, chest wall, and other organs, due to asbestos build up in the body.
